fluss gold fluss

7 weeks in Korea, a journey to myself.

"In the courage to be still, I find my language.

In listening, I find myself.

And in feeling, I begin to understand."

Two series emerge, woven into one another — fluss blatt and gold blatt.

A phone and two pens mark the beginning of my journey.

fluss blatt, the photographic series, reflects moments of my perception. Emptiness within me — and yet surrounded by fullness in every instant.

gold blatt grows from the pages of a copy of the Diamond Sutra, found in the temple of Beomeosa in Busan. The series breaks through illusions and turns the gaze behind the surface of my self. It speaks of absence as a space for healing, of pain, tension and holding on — and of the process of letting go, of release and making peace, in which I overwrite the weight of the past. What remains visible is the essence of what has been learned, of growth and transformation. Not always visible, not tangible — and yet felt.

한국에서의 7주, 나 자신에게로 향하는 여정.

“머무를 용기 속에서, 나는 나의 언어를 발견한다.
귀 기울임 속에서, 나 자신을 발견한다.
그리고 감정 속에서, 나는 비로소 이해하기 시작한다.”

두 개의 연작이 탄생하고, 서로 얽힌다. fluss blatt와 gold blatt

휴대폰 하나와 볼펜 두 자루는 나의 여정이 시작된 자리를 기록한다.

사진 연작인 fluss blatt는 내가 감각하고 인식한 순간들을 비춘다. 내 안의 공허함, 그러나 그것을 매 순간 감싸고 있던 충만함.

gold blatt는 부산 범어사의 한 사찰에서 만난 『금강경』 사본의 낱장들로부터 피어난다. 이 작업은 환영을 뚫고, 나라는 존재의 표면 너머로 시선을 돌린다. 이것은 부재를 치유의 공간이자, 고통과 긴장, 버팀의 장소라 말한다. 이것은 부재를 내려놓음, 해방, 화해의 장소라 말한다. 그 안에서 나는 지나온 과거의 무게를 다시 써 내려간다. 눈에 남는 것은 배움의 본질, 성장과 변화의 흔적이다. 항상 보이지는 않지만, 항상 손에 잡히지는 않지만, 그럼에도 느껴지는.
